It was a very scary moment for a pilot getting ready to land in Fort Myers.
As Robert Weber was approaching the runway, a bird came smashing through the windshield of his Piper Saratoga. It busted the windshield and left a mess of feathers and shattered glass in the cockpit.
Luckily, Weber kept his cool through it all. He maintained control of the plane, even though he was bleeding from his forehead.
He managed to make a safe landing and says he is just thankful he wasn't knocked out.
