Two adults were killed and several children were injured when a church van from New Port Richey crashed in northern Florida, FOX 30 in Jacksonville is reporting.
The van was carrying seven children and three adults when it blew a tire near Lake City and crashed into a wooded area, the station reported.
FOX 13 has learned the van is from a Baptist church in New Port Richey. FOX 30 reports that four children were taken to Lake City Medical Center and three other children were taken to UF Health in Gainesville.
According to their report, one of them is in critical condition.
The adults who were killed were apparently thrown from the van. They were identified as 52-year-old Jeff Novak of New Port Richey; and 44-year-old Michalanne Salliotte, also of New Port Richey.
Four of the children were taken to Lake City Medical Center, the other three children (2 stable, 1 critical) were taken to UF Health in Gainesville, FOX 30 reported.
