Hillsborough County wants to bring some dignity to a place where a horrendous tragedy took place a year ago this month.
Many remember when a sinkhole gobbled up a home in Seffner and killed Jeff Bush, who was sleeping inside. It happened last February, and the hole grew to an enormous size.
The director of parks and recreation just pitched a plan on what the county should do with the sit. He wants to plant native trees and bushes and erect a fence around the sinkhole area.
He also wants to play a second one around the entire property.
There's talk of some kind of memorial plaque or monument there as well, and county commissioners will eventually decide what happens there.
