Worker accused of raping woman on clothing-optional cruise

Posted: Updated:

A cruise ship worker is accused of raping a passenger and trying to throw her overboard.

Ketut Pujayasa was arrested Sunday when the vessel returned to Port Everglades. The Holland America Line vessel was on a seven-day, clothing-optional cruise, which left Fort Lauderdale on Feb. 9.

Investigators said it happened in international waters off Honduras. The company released a statement, in part saying: "We are shocked and deeply saddened by this incident. The safety of our guests is our utmost priority."

In the statement, the cruise line indicated the attack happened in the woman's stateroom. She was able to escape and get help from another passenger.
