Fayette County, TN-- -

A second woman has been charged in connection with the deadly beating of a taxi driver.

The TBI arrested 21-year-old Kimberly Ransom from Cordova late yesterday. She is charged with filing a false report.  Investigators say she gave them a fake name and fake information in the details of the murder.

The cab driver, Zewdneh Assemu, was killed in December. His battered body found in a field in Fayette County.

19-year-old Tanuja Rivers is charged with murder and robbery.

A Memphis woman is in jail on $1 million bond after being charged with first-degree murder and robbery in the death of a cab driver.
 
 The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation says 19-year-old Tanuja L. Rivers of Arlington, Tenn., is charged with killing 43-year-old Zewdneh Assemu of Bartlett, who was found beaten and stabbed to death by the Fayette County Sheriff's Office in a field near Highway 196 North on December 6, 2013.
 
 TBI spokeswoman Illana Tate says a motive and the exact circumstances surrounding Assemu's death are still being sorted out.

Officers arrested Rivers on Thursday evening.
