Tampa police are searching for a home invasion suspect.

It happened around 12:15 this morning on South MacDill Ave., just south of Gandy Blvd.

They say a man followed a woman home, tied her up, and then ransacked the home. He was in the home for about 45 minutes.

Police say he stole several items before running off. The woman eventually broke free and was able to call 911.

Detectives are now investigating whether the woman was the victim of a sexual assault.

Police released this description:

  • 25-35 year old black male
  • 5'10-6'0
  • Stocky build
  • Last seen wearing all black clothing and a black beanie
  • Deep, scruffy voice

If you can help find him, call Tampa police.
