More than 300 volunteers will help build a home forlow income families in just seven days.
Friday begins Habitat for Humanity of PinellasCounty' annual "Blitz Build." During the seven-day build period,volunteers will work one of two shifts daily: 7 a.m. tonoon and noon to 6 p.m.
The featured Blitz Build home, sponsored by Publix,is being built for the Dixon family. A second home, which is being partiallybuilt during the event for the Hubbard-Lapos family, is sponsored by LokeyAutomotive Group.
The construction sites are located in Stevens Creek,a proposed 51-unit subdivision in Clearwater being constructed by HabitatPinellas on the former Homer Villas public housing site.
