Teen removed from school for making threats

Posted: Updated:

Winter Haven Police removed a 14-year-old boy from a middle school after they discovered he had written death threats that centered around Valentine's Day.

"It scares the heck outta me. It really does," Chalette Sasser, the parent of another student at Jewett Academy, told FOX 13. "I want to take her out, but there is too much she is involved in."

Investigators say the boy wrote the following note in school: "I hate February 14. I hate everybody. I want them all to die. I want to kill them all. I no longer came for one person on this planet. I came for everybody."

They also found a disturbing passage in his school ledger. It reads: "I hate February 14. May everyone die. I regret to inform you that the earth nor its people will survive."

Now that they have removed the teen, police say the campus is safe. He has been taken for a mental evaluation and will not be in school until after Valentine's Day. It is unclear if he will be going back to Jewett after that.
