Police seek suspects in Chicago Lawn armed robberies

Chicago Police are warning of two armed robberies last week in the South Side Chicago Lawn neighborhood.

The robberies happened about 2 a.m. Feb. 1 in the 6900 block of South Western Avenue; and about 1:15 p.m. Feb. 7 in the 2300 block of West 71st Street, according to an alert from Area Central detectives.

Two males approached the victims, pulled out a handgun and demanded property, police said.

One of the suspects is described as a 17-25-year-old black male, between 5-foot-1 and 5-foot-4, and 120-130 pounds, police said. The other is described as a 25-35-year-old black man between 5-foot-9 and 6-foot-3, and 170-190 pounds.
