A bicyclist was hit and killed Tuesday morning along 31st Street in St. Petersburg.
It happened near the 35th Avenue South intersection. Police have not released the bicyclists' name, but they say they've identified them.
According to the initial investigation, a 2002 Nissan Altima was traveling south on 31st when the bicyclist rode into its path. Police aren't sure why, but they said the car hit the back tire, throwing the cyclist from the bike.
The person apparently hit their head on the windshield of the car and hit the pavement.
