National Signing Day always means a big day for Tampa Bay area high school football players. Lakewood High School in St. Petersburg takes great pride in sending 14 seniors on to the next level to play college football.
Three players signed their official agreements in a school ceremony this morning in St. Petersburg.
Tight end Darquez Watson plans to play for Presbyterian College. Safety Brujoun Bonner heads to Memphis, and wide receiver Andrew Davis inks his scholarship agreement with Toledo.
"Guys have bought into our program so we are trying to keep up with our tradition of going to the next level. Very proud to see young men go from young knuckleheads to young men who will do great things in our society," Coach Moore says.
