Deputies say a 29-year-old man sneaking around a Pasco County neighborhood was stealing homeowners' mail.
According to the sheriff's office, deputies spotted a car -- with lights off and license plate removed -- cruising through Gulf Harbors and stopped momentarily in front of homes. When they stopped the car, deputies say they found mail that included everything from checkbooks to credit cards and bank statements, along with Social Security numbers and other documents containing personal information.
The driver, Brian Michael Chipman, was arrested. Detectives believe Chipman, 30, was looking for debit cards and planned to possibly file fraudulent tax returns.
They say the mail was from at least 11 people with addresses all over the Bay Area.
