The search continues for an entire missing family Pasco County, and authorities tell us the mother reached out to her family just days ago.
Jennifer Bruce, 28, and her sons Brett, 5, and Dillon, 7, have not been seen for weeks. Bruce reportedly pulled the boys out of Long Leaf Elementary school Jan. 10.
Their father, Garrett Bruce, is wanted in Pinellas County after missing a bond hearing Monday. He is facing charges for DUI manslaughter and vehicular homicide. His trial is scheduled to start in two weeks.
A spokesperson for the Pasco County sheriff's office says Jennifer contacted her father over the weekend but did not identify her location or who was with her.
Authorities now believe Bruce went willingly with Garrett, and there is no indication the children have been physically harmed.
"Our biggest concern is you have a woman and her two little kids who may be on the run with him, and that is no type of lifestyle for any family," Sheriff Chris Nocco said.
It's unclear how they're getting around, though. Authorities say the Bruce's vehicle was left at their New Port Richey home. There were no signs of foul play, and their passports have not been used.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts are asked to contact the Pasco County Sheriff's Office.
