Fostering a dog with Home FurEver Rescue during the winter months

If it's too cold for us, it's also too cold for your pets! A local rescue is so overwhelmed they need foster families to house dogs during the cold, winter months.

"You just have to give your love and home - we provide everything else," says volunteer Dan Stasinski at Home FurEver Rescue.

With this weather getting these animals off the streets is more important than ever. The problem is just where to put them. FurEver relies on foster families to house the 100 to 150 dogs in their care.

Volunteer Rochelle Lunsford says, "We can't save them without foster homes. [With] temperatures the way they are, this is the second polar vortex of the year, and dogs are dying outside. They are freezing to death - can you imagine freezing to death?"
