State lawmakers are pushing for a 50-million dollar plan to tie together biking trails throughout central Florida.
The coast-to-coast connector would stretch from St. Petersburg to the Atlantic coast.
That's 275 miles of unbroken bicycle paths.
Many miles, like the trails in Tampa Bay, already exist.
They just aren't connected to the other trails.
If funded, the final gaps could be filled in during the next five years.
