TAMPA (FOX 13) -

The Gasparilla celebration continued in Downtown Tampa, as "pirates" took over Bayshore Boulevard.

The tradition attracted thousands of fans for food, fun and floats.

The parade attracted more than a hundred entrants.

Some Gasparilla goers tell Fox 13 their favorite part is getting beads.

"Gasparilla is like Mardi Gras if you don't get beads you didn't celebrate correctly," one attendee
said.

A number of people have been arrested during the Saturday festivities.

Tampa Police report they have made three felony arrests, 7 arrests for boating under the influence and 63 open-container citations.
