I-75 lanes reopen after Hernando truck crash

Posted: Updated:
BROOKSVILLE (FOX 13) -

The southbound lanes of I-75 are open again in Hernando County after a crash involving an overturned trailer.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck hauling a 30-foot utility trailer jackknifed after braking to avoid another vehicle.  The trailer flipped over, blocking all southbound lanes of I-75 south of Brooksville.

The lanes were closed for over two hours, backing up traffic.  But by 4:30, the view from SkyFOX showed the crashed vehicles had been moved from the roadway, allowing traffic to flow again.

The truck's driver and passenger, from Ohio, were not hurt.
