Pasco County commissioners are taking a swing at spring training baseball.
They've chosen a developer to build a $34 million sports complex at Wiregrass Ranch.
It will have a baseball stadium with 19 fields around it. Nine of those fields will be major league baseball size, while the other 10 will be for youth baseball leagues.
The ultimate goal is to attract a major league team to Pasco County for spring training.
The county will pay $11 million of the bill. The developer, Blue Marble, will pay the rest.
No word yet on a completion date.
