A recent Gulf High School graduate was found murdered along the side of a Pasco County Road Wednesday morning, authorities said.
The body of 20-year-old Antonio Rangel was discovered off Moon Lake Road and Canton just before 8 a.m., and the sheriff's office says they've made an arrest.
The suspect is identified as Thomas Lesher, and FOX 13's Alcides Segui reports they had a dispute over drugs.
A spokeswoman with the Pasco County Sheriff's Office said there was trauma to Rangel's body, but said investigators weren't yet sure how he died.
Melanie Snow, the Pasco Sheriff's spokeswoman, described Rangel's death as "random and surprising."
She said Rangel's car was found not far from where his body was discovered, and investigators are now combing through it for evidence.
Lesher is charged with second-degree murder.
Rangel went to Gulf High School where he played football and basketball. He graduated from there in 2012. Gulf High's website described him as a "standout basketball player."
