Dense Fog Advisory In Effect For Most Of Area Until Noon

Posted: Updated:

A Dense Fog Advisory is now in effect until noon EST for New Jersey, Delaware, Eastern Pennsylvania and the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

The FOX 29 Weather Authority says that the visibilities will be one quarter mile or less at times.

The fog should begin to dissipate by mid day.

Also, watch out for icy pavements because black ice is possible due to the freezing fog in portions of Eastern Pennsylvania and Northern New Jersey.

Expect the fog and the icy roads to cause travel delays this morning. Motorists are urged to exercise caution for rapidly changing visibilities and icy conditions especially on bridges.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving, slow down and leave plenty of distance ahead of you. Plan on extra time to reach your destination.

  • Delaware County, PA
