Students Save After School Program

Posted: Updated:
Northeast Philadelphia -

Students in Northeast Philadelphia went on a mission to save a special school program. It's a Space Research Center Program.

It takes place after school at northeast high. Just last month students were told budget cuts would end it.

So, they decided to raise money online. Some seniors are thrilled the program is saved. The 120 students involved plan and complete two space missions a year.

The program started in 1962 and introduces students to career options in science, math and aerospace.
