Beloved Christmas decoration stolen from grieving mother

SUGAR HILL, Ga. -

A Sugar Hill family is pleading for the return of a beloved Christmas decoration that was stolen from their front yard.

The Bryson family said that while the Frosty the Snowman decoration may not seem like a big deal, it carries a lot of sentimental weight to them.

The Frosty was given to them years by their son. He suddenly passed away just before the holidays at the age of 35.  Sheila Bryson said she was so heartbroken that she didn't want to decorate for Christmas, but did it as a way to help the family heal.

On New Year's Day, someone swiped the Frosty from Bryson's front yard.

"I did not have my son here for the holidays. That was bad enough, and then for someone to take the one thing from my yard that he had given to me, of course it was like losing a piece of him all over again," said Sheila Bryson.

The family is offering a reward for the return of the symbol of the family's love and memory.

"It was probably just a prank and I just want the snowman back," Bryson said. "I just want it back. It means more to me than anyone could possibly imagine."

The Brysons said they are not looking for anyone to get into trouble, they just want the Frosty back. They hope the people responsible for it see this story and do the right thing.
