Dozens of students were rushed out of a school bus that caught fire this morning on Highway 301 in Brandon.
It happened in rush-hour traffic near Causeway Boulevard, and investigators believe the fire started in the engine.
About 60 students and the driver got off the bus and away from the scene safely. SkyFOX flew over the scene and showed delays in the area.
The exact intersecting street was Windermere Lake Drive. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire fairly quickly.
The students were heading to Spoto High School.
The bus was last inspected in November and passed, a schools spokesperson told FOX 13.
