We're told the victim was dead for at least three days before she was discovered. The Medical Examiner has not yet ruled on her cause of death. Right now, it's not know if the lack of heat in the home played a role.

Neighbors on the block tell us they had no idea the woman died. There is still a dog barking inside the home. Fox 2 inquired with Detroit police. They tell us they're aware and are attempting to reach a family member related to the woman who can take the dog in. If they're unsuccessful, they tell us they will go into the home with Animal Control to make sure the dog is removed and cared for.
