One person was killed and two others were injured in an early morning crash on Interstate 4 Friday morning.
It happened around 4 a.m. eastbound near mile marker 22, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
According to investigators, the driver of a 1999 Ford Explorer lost control when the right rear tire blew out.
Both passengers were ejected; neither was wearing a seatbelt, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
One of the passengers, 19-year-old Miguel Javier Figueroa Marzan, died at the hospital at 12:01 p.m., FHP said.
The driver and second passenger are at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in serious but stable condition, according to FHP.
