In a world of what's next, gadgets we can wear now are changing everything. At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas the wearable technology is everywhere: from glasses to watches to necklaces to one that projects the image right onto your retina.

New York-based tech consultant Peter Shankman showed off a few of the more popular devices. People are slowly starting to gear up and put on things like the Samsung smartwatch and Google Glass. With the blink of an eye and tap of a finger, he snaps photos, records video, and checks email. They still look a bit like safety glasses, but Shankman thinks mainstream isn't far off.

Of course you need someplace to put all this stuff. The Scotty vest does the trick. It has pockets for power, laptops, and tablets. And there is plenty more to fit in.

The Vegas show is showing off stuff for kids and babies, for working out, for pets and more.

We've all fallen for at least one joke in our lives, probably some internet hoax meant to get a rise out of people. But now Facebook is trying to stop the spread of those fake jokes and stories. When you get the day's headlines from your social media news feed, it can be a challenge to figure out what might be made up or what might be the shocking truth.

Momentum to shift some gambling away from Atlantic City increased Tuesday as a state senator introduced plans for a constitutional amendment that would put slot machines at New Jersey's four horse racing tracks, a business group increased its planning for an anticipated full-blown casino at the Meadowlands sports complex and the state gave final approval for the Showboat to shut down.
