Cold weather still causing troubles

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Clouds overnight kept temperatures in the Tampa Bay area above freezing. But the weather is still causing trouble for travelers.

Winter weather up north continues to wreak havoc on the airlines. JetBlue canceled all flights in and out of Boston and the New York City area until 10 a.m. Tuesday morning. The airline blamed the weather and new flight rules for pilots.

Other airlines are also struggling to keep their schedules. As of 6 a.m. Tuesday, there were 26 cancellations and 16 delays at Tampa International Airport. The St. Pete-Clearwater and Sarasota airports were also dealing with cancellations.

Farmers in the Bay Area were relieved that the temperatures stayed above freezing. However, many inland farmers were still watering crops to try and protect them.
