Bucs hire former Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

The Bucs have locked up the most important pieces of their coaching staff. Lovie Smith first tabbed Jeff Tedford as his offensive coordinator, and tonight he brings in former Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier, according to ESPN and the NFL Network.

Frazier was just fired on Monday after going 21 and 32 in four years with the Vikings. He wasn't out of work for long.

Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Rob Marinelli was rumored to be returning to the Bucs, but Tampa Bay never asked permission to talk with him.

It's interesting to note that Lovie, Tedford and Frazier all have head coaching experience. It's a great start to a regime change in Tampa Bay.

Frazier was an assistant under Tony Dungy in Indianapolis and is very familiar with the Tampa 2 scheme that Smith runs.
