TOMS RIVER, N.J. (AP) - Authorities say at least three people were wounded when gunfire erupted at a southern New Jersey hotel in the early morning hours of New Year's Day.
Toms River police say the shooting at the Ramada Inn Hotel occurred around 1 a.m. Monday. A motive for the shooting remains under investigation, and it's not clear how many people were involved.
The names and conditions of the wounded were not immediately disclosed, and it was not clear if any of them had been staying at the hotel in the Ocean County community.
No arrests have been made.
