From the twinkling lights to Santa's very own sleigh, Annamarie and Bill Reed's house is alive with the spirit of Christmas.
The couple doesn't take the phrase "deck the halls" lightly. They decorate trees by the dozen.
"There are probably about 35, some of them are small though, but there are at least 25 to 30 of the larger ones," Annamarie said.
Tackling all that tinsel takes some time. They start bringing in the trees in September, and convert each room of their house into a holiday headquarters.
"In the bathroom, we have two large trees where the tub should be," Annamarie laughed.
Christmas ornaments are perfectly placed with care. Each tree follows a distinct theme, honoring the family's favorite people and places.
Whether the tree is hanging from the ceiling or covered in crystals, Reed makes sure her holiday masterpiece is seen by the masses. She hands out hundreds of invitations to her open house to share the season's magic.
"I give them to everybody I know, and then I tell them to bring everybody they know and their friends and family and neighbors," she said.
Strangers quickly become friends, as the couple opens their home and hearts for Christmas. It's a tradition honoring everything that makes this the most wonderful time of the year.
"As long as we're able to do it, we're going to do it. What else are we going to do with this stuff if we don't?" Annamarie laughed.
The Reeds first started decking their house out for the holidays back in 1990. They recently took a few years off for health reasons, but are happy to have their home back in tip-top tree shape this Christmas.
