NEW JERSEY (MYFOXNY.COM) -

Before taking his trip to deliver gifts Tuesday night, Santa and his singing elves made a quick stop in Fairlawn, New Jersey. Fairlawn police, fire, and town officials are doing 136 random acts of kindness this holiday season.

The number is in honor of fallen Police Officer Mary Ann Collura's shield number. She was killed in the line of duty in 2003.

The smiles and laughter that Santa brought really encouraged some people.
