A homeless person has alerted authorities to some human bones found near Sligh Avenue and 22nd Street North.
Tampa police detectives, the medical examiner, and a group of USF anthropologists are at the scene looking at what the man found.
According to police, there are no obvious signs of foul play, and it's unclear how long the bones were there.
They were found between the road and railroad tracks. The homeless person apparently called police to let them know.
Authorities are looking for other clues in the area.
Police say it could be some time before results are back.
