Friends and family celebrated the life of a 4-year-old boy who died suddenly last week.
Dozens of people attended the funeral of Amonti Saunders in Holiday on Sunday.
Relatives tell Fox 13 he became ill and was rushed to the hospital where doctors diagnosed him with bacterial meningitis.
He was described as outgoing by those who knew him.
"I really loved that little boy, he was so beautiful," said family friend Alanah Dennis. "So free spirited and so wild and just spunky."
Renee Dreher said Saunders was her first grandson and was born on her birthday. She said she's coping by keeping his pictures around and remembering happier times.
"I want to talk about him. I want to remember him everyday. That's how my life is going to go on," Dreher said. "He is going to be in my heart. He took a part, but he is still there."
Butterflies and balloons were released to honor Saunders memory.
He died weeks before Christmas.
"We are all wearing super hero shirts today because he is our super hero," said Hill. "He loved all of his action figurines. All we can do for the holidays is keep his spirit alive."
