Lavon Pearson's heart aches.

"I was trying to get there as fast as I could have," she cried.

The Pasco County mom now relies on pictures and memories to keep her son Tuvarrion "Jay" Sirmon's spirit alive.

"He said mama whatever I'm going to do I'm going to make a good decision and I'm going to be able to take care of you all of you're life," she recalled.

After running an errand Friday she got a call telling her Sirmons had been stabbed.

She rushed to the hospital.

"I just telling God just my baby my baby just hold him," she said.

But, she never made it.

Her 16 year old son died.

Deputies said 18 year old Cleave Gittens stabbed him after an argument at the Meadow Point 2 clubhouse.

"He was my heart beat. That was my baby. He was my all," she said.

Deputies haven't said what the argument was about.

Pearson said her son was visiting a friend at the time and didn't know Gittens.

"I don't know him i think they knew of each other," she said.

A judge set Gittens' bond at 100 thousand dollars Saturday morning.

Deputies said his record includes weapons, drugs and burglary charges.

'At first I was bitter and I was hurt about it but my heart pours out to his mother," said Pearson.

Pearson said the tragedy has cost two families their sons.

"His mother also lost her son and he'll probably never see daylight again because that's what I'm going to seek for my baby didn't deserve that he didn't deserve to die that way," she said.

Grief counselors will be on hand Monday morning at Zephyrhills High School.
