A child protection investigator with the Florida Department of Children and Families is under arrest.
He is charged with sexually battering a parent in a home he was visiting.
According to the Lakeland Police Department, 27-year-old Jason Montgomery first visited the home in September, where he forced himself on the mother.
The victim said she felt helpless because of his position with DCF, so she said she didn't resist and was sexually battered, police said.
A few weeks later, he told the victim to meet him at her house, and told her "you owe me for getting you out of trouble," detectives says. He then sexually battered her again, according to police.
Detectives interviewed Montgomery on September 9, and he denied the charges. But this week, investigators got confirmation that DNA evidence found in the victim's house matched Montgomery's.
He was arrested and booked into the Polk County Jail, and is charged with two counts of sexual battery.
Montgomery had been employed with DCF since October of 2011. There was no immediate word on his status with agency.
