A Pasco County man is recovering after a stray bullet grazed his forehead while he was in his car along a busy highway.
It happened along State Road 54 near Bruce Lane in Wesley Chapel.
The 62-year-old man was in the car with his 13-year-old granddaughter when the bullet entered the open window, the sheriff's office said.
It grazed his eye and hit the passenger side window. The girl was not hit.
Deputies searched for whoever shot the bullet, but did not find them. The sheriff's office says it does not appear that motorists are being targeted. They say the bullet appeared to have been fired from a long distance.
An investigation is underway.
