Innisbrook's Copperhead Course in Palm Harbor is easily one of the best golf courses in Florida. It is the shining venue in the Tampa Bay area and is home to the PGA's Valspar Championship.
Unlike most flat Florida courses, Innisbrook is on a unique piece of land, which is also home to the highest point in Pinellas County. It gives Copperhead plenty of character.
At more than 7,300 yards, this course has plenty of bite.
Favorite Par-3: The tee shot at the 215-yard 15th is in perfect view of the course's large "Innisbrook" natural sign. The green is in perfect view of the famous "Snake Pit" statue. Your tee shot must carry water and avoid two large, greenside bunkers. It is fittingly named, "Snakebite."
Favorite Par-4: "Moccasin," the par-4 16th, requires a precise tee shot. The narrow fairway hugs a lake on the right-hand side. Length is also an issue – a striking 475 yards in total. Best of luck making par on this one.
Favorite Par-5: Many would probably say No. 5 at Copperhead, but I love "Innisbrook's View," the opening hole. No. 1 tee is perched high on a hill, giving you a wide view of the property. The fairway slopes to the right and the approach is guarded by trees.
