A judge denied bond for a former Marine accused of shooting a Hillsborough sheriff's deputy in the summer of 2011.
The defense blamed psychological conditions for the events that evening, including post-traumatic stress disorder.
Two mental experts testified that Buendia did not know what he was doing the night he shot Deputy Lyonelle De Veaux.
But the prosecution says Buendia was angry and lost his temper when he fired his gun.
Deputy De Veaux survived her injuries; Buendia's trial is set for March.
