Bay area schools fighting for state title

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Armwood beats Bartram Trail in triple overtime 35-28 to advance to the state championship game. The undefeated Hawks play Central out of Miami for the Class 6A title.

Plant loses at Dad's Stadium to Apopka, 45-29 in the state semi-finals. The Panthers home playoff winning streak ends at 21 games.

East Lake's season ends with a state semi-final loss to Dwyer. The Eagles lose in overtime 31-24.

Lakewood loses on the road at Clay 40-38, ending the Spartans run for a state championship.

Now, it's all up to Clearwater Central Catholic to become the first Pinellas County high school football team to win a state title. The Marauders take on Trinity Christian Saturday afternoon in the Citrus Bowl in Orlando for the championship.
