RUSKIN (FOX 13) -

Authorities are searching for a driver who struck and killed a man in Ruskin Friday.

The accident happened around 7 p.m. on 21st Avenue Southeast. The victim has been identified 56-year-old Antonio Leon.

Family members tell Fox 13 Leon was riding his bike home from work when he was struck.

"There was helicopters and police cars blocking off the area," said Leon's nephew Junior Pena. " He was literally houses down."

The crash happened less than a mile away from Leon's home.

Family members say they want the driver to come forward.

"We are not looking for revenge. We are looking for somebody to 'fess up and say it was an accident," Pena

told Fox 13. "To do that is heartless. How could you leave?"

Deputies found part of a green 2003 to 2005 model Saturn Ion at the scene.

They are searching for the car believed to have front-end damage from the crash.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Hillsborough County Sheriff's office at 813-247-8200 or Crimestoppers of Tampa Bay

at 1-800-873-8477.
