A woman's car has been found in Orlando after police say thieves stole the car with a child sleeping in the vehicle.
Winter Haven Police are searching for three suspects who took a car from a Circle K Store overnight.
On Saturday around 12:45 a.m., the silver 2012 Chevy Impala was left running with the victim's 9-year-old daughter in the backseat, while the mother went inside the store.
The three suspects are seen entering with two of the three going back outside and hanging around the door for a few moments.
The first suspect is described as a black male with a heavy build, wearing a black t-shirt, black shorts and black slides with socks. He walked around the store, selecting a four-pack of beer.
He gave it to another suspect to purchase. The other two suspects select items and approach the counter to make the purchase.
The victim got in line directly behind the two suspects at the counter. The second suspect is described as having a very thin build wearing a blue tank top, sagging blue jean shorts, a hat with a black and white pattern, black slides and socks; the third suspect has a muscular build, wearing a gray tank top, blue jean shorts and orange sneakers.
The first suspect left the store while the other two were making their purchase.
In the video, he is seen walking between the victim and the two others standing at the counter. As the victim exits the store, she sees all three men entering her vehicle and her 9 year-old daughter exiting the vehicle. She was not harmed.
The vehicle was seen leaving the parking lot heading north on First Street.
Winter Haven police called this a "crime of opportunity."
"It is pretty brazen to see a vehicle running and jump into it and leave," said Winter Haven Police Captain Charlie Bird. "Things could have been really bad, had they gotten away and she was in the back of that car. There is no telling what would have happened."
Police say the car was found in Florida after a witness contacted authorities and reported seeing three young black males pushing a trash can down the road with wheels in it. Two more wheels were reportedly thrown over the fence located next door.
When the Orlando Police officer arrived on scene, he did not see any suspects matching the description but did see the vehicle with no tires on it.
Investigators tell FOX 13 they want to know what ties the suspects have to Orlando and why they would have dumped a stolen car there.
Anyone with information on the identity of any of the suspects or the whereabouts of the vehicle is asked to call Heartland Crime Stoppers at 1-800-226-TIPS (8477). Callers can remain anonymous and could be eligible for a CASH reward.
Police are offering a $3,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects.
