An explosion followed by hundred foot cloud rocked the Mosaic plant on HWY 41 Saturday afternoon.
Routine maintenance of an empty acid tank ruptured, causing the top to fly approximately 100 feet and crash down on the ground.
Two Mosaic employees sustained injuries that were non-life threatening and were transported to an area hospital.
HCFR's Hazardous Incident team (HIT 9), was on scene with multiple other units, metered the air for safety.
