Lexington Oaks is one of the more balanced golf courses you'll find in our area, and it's certainly one of your best options in North Tampa/Pasco County region.

The Claw is home to some of the toughest par-5s you can find around here, and many forget about its renovated practice facility, which is one of the nicest in Tampa.

TRINITY (FOX 13) -

At 7,138 yards, Fox Hollow in Trinity provides a much stiffer challenge than its sister course, Lexington Oaks, in Wesley Chapel.

For the longer, less accurate hitters, this is a great course for you. The holes wind along several open fields in Pasco County, and many of the holes are wide open with plenty of space for an errant shot.

Most certainly mark this course as one of the best to play in the Bay area.

Our favorites:

Best Par-3: I love the par-3 16th for its fairness. It's a straightforward, short-to-mid iron into a pretty large green. But if you miss short or long, you're in big trouble. There is water behind the green and a nasty front-side bunker. This is a fun hole to play.

Best Par-4: No. 18 at Fox Hollow is one of the best finishing holes in the area. Water surrounds the entire hole up to the green, making it the most troublesome (but beautiful) test on the course. Playing from the back tees, the tee shot is absolutely brutal.

Best Par-5: No. 15 is the beginning of four great finishing holes. This par-5 is 560 yards from the back tees, and dog legs around a body of water. A good tee shot doesn't let you off the hook, as your approach also goes over water. Grab your snorkel!
