Police surrounded a house in the Palmetto Beach neighborhood of Tampa in hopes of nabbing a burglary suspect earlier today, but later determined no one was there.
According to TPD, officers responded to a call about a burglary in progress involving two suspects. A police K-9 caught one of them, but a second suspect was thought to be hiding out in the attic of a home on Corrine Street.
The view from SkyFOX showed officers and cruisers surrounding the sky blue home.
Negotiators were working to contact the suspect, while the SWAT team was also on scene in case things got worse.
As of 2 p.m., police said the SWAT team had entered the home and did not find anyone. They were still working to determine if there actually was a second suspect or not.
