Oxford Circle Home Invasion Robbery Victim Speaks Out

Posted: Updated:
PHILADELPHIA -

The search continues for two criminals who broke into an Oxford Circle home, torturing and robbing the people inside.

FOX 29's Omari Fleming spoke with one of the victims about that terrifying ordeal.

Kenyatta Sanders is recovering from a nightmare at her home on Rosalie Street.

Friday night police swarmed the 28-year-old woman's home after two gunmen stormed into the house.

The men kicked her in the ribs and chest, and that's not all. Sanders is still wearing the wounds on her waist and forehead where police say she was tortured with a hot knife.

Investigators have also learned the crooks wanted money that belonged to her jailed boyfriend. They say the gunmen threatened to harm her young daughter to get it.

When Sanders refused to give up the money, the robbers put a gun up to her head, then picked up her 2-year-old daughter and threatened to kill her if Sanders didn't say where money was.

Sanders said she'd given them some money, but they kept asking for more.

Police say the two crooks busted into the house through an open basement door in an alley where an electrician was working. The 55-year-old man says he had no idea what was going on.

The home's occupants were tied up with string and extension cords. The crooks ultimately made off with the victims' cell phones and more than $4,000 cash, $3,000 of it money Sanders says she planned to use to pay bills.

FOX 29's Omari Fleming has more details in this video report.
