CLEARWATER (FOX 13) -

A 35-year-old man stationed in Fort Leavenworth is accused of murdering his wife's former husband, police said Friday morning.

Roman Izzo, who is a U.S. Army major, was taken into custody by Clearwater detectives who flew to Kansas. He was indicted just a day earlier by a Pinellas County grand jury.

Izzo is charged in the slaying of 43-year-old Vincent Edward Lee, who was found dead inside a condo on Nov. 16 2011 off Landmark Drive in the Countryside area.

Police say it was all over a domestic dispute involving custody of their children. Izzo is married to Lee's former wife, police said.

Izzo is still in a Leavenworth County Jail and is waiting to be extradited to Clearwater.
