The Tampa Bay Times Forum is bouncing tonight to the lyrics of superstar rapper Drake.
"Because he's beautiful he's talented, I love the way he sings and raps and looks," Ali Little said.
But Drake isn't the only big time act making headlines in the Bay area today. The Piano Man has been confirmed to return to the Forum. The six time Grammy winner hasn't been there since 2009. Tampa is one of only three cities to snag the music legend.
"You have to bid aggressively. The artists has to want to come to the building, the artist's agent has to believe you're going to sell a lot of tickets," said Lightning CEO Tod Leiweke
When it comes to entertainment, the city faces stiff competition from places like Orlando and Miami, but city leaders say recent upgrades to the forum thanks to the RNC make it a building suited for much more than just hockey.
"Because of the RNC, this building has concert hall acoustics," Leiweke said.
"It adds a vibe and an excitement to downtown Tampa that encourages more people to come downtown," said Mayor Bob Buckhorn.
Besides Billy Joel, other big name upcoming acts include Demi Lovato, Kanye West and Miley Cyrus.
"We have a great city here, we need more artists," said Anthony Herbello.
