Posted: Updated:
TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Motorists depend on cameras bought and paid for by Florida's Department of Transportation to help people avoid traffic jams.

There are more than 170 cameras in the Bay Area at an average cost of $3,000 each.

When you add in the cost of installation, that adds up to $619,310.

It's your tax dollars, so is that money well spent?
