Police believed Marvin Knott, a 63-year-old Vietnam veteran, had been the latest victim of a hit and run. However, his family insisted there was more to the story and now, the medical examiner and other authorities agree.

"I personally do not believe it was a hit and run. He maybe had been hit after the fact, but I believe something happened to him before," Claudia Knott, a sister of Marvin, tells Fox 2's Maurielle Lue.

The Knott family believes Marvin was killed in his home.

His neighbors reported abnormally loud music coming from his apartment building. Marvin had recently cashed his social security check for more than 700 dollars, but his sister says most of that money is missing now from his apartment. The family also noticed injuries that were inconsistent with those sustained in a typical hit and run, such as a gunshot wound to Marvin's hip.

Now, after the interview with the family, Fox 2 has confirmed the cause of his death had been changed from "unconfirmed" to "homicide."

Marvin was a father of seven and a grandfather to several more. His family is seeking justice and answers.

"There is a God that sits high and he looks low so, please, if you have any conscious, or any kind of heart inside of you, bring yourself to the police station and turn yourself in," says Antania Brown, one of Marvin's daughters.
