NEW YORK (MYFOXNY) -

With the World Series over, the business of baseball and bidding on players can begin. In all, 147 players are eligible to negotiate and sign with any ball club beginning at 12:01 a.m. on November 5, 2013, according to news release from Major League Baseball and the players' union.

Keep in mind that on this list are some players who are technically free agents but have announced their retirement. Most notable among these are Mariano Rivera and Andy Pettitte.

The big names from the local teams include Robinson Cano, Curtis Granderson, and Hiroki Kuroda of the Yankees. LaTroy Hawkins and Daisuke Matsuzaka, who pitched a few games for the Mets this season, are also free agents.

Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman has said he wants to keep Cano in pinstripes, but the team may not offer the 31-year-old star second baseman the huge 10-year contract he is rumored to be seeking.

Several prominent players from the World Series champion Boston Red Sox are also on the list, including Jacoby Ellsbury, Mike Napoli, and Jarrod Saltalamacchia.

Slugger Carlos Beltran of the National League champion St. Louis Cardinals is also eligible.

This is the list of players, sorted by their most recent team.

Five former Buffalo Bills cheerleaders on Tuesday sued the team over a pay system they say had them working hundreds of hours for free at games and at mandatory public appearances at which they were subjected to groping and sexual comments, and one said they had to take a jiggle test so their boss could see how firm their bodies were.
